Julia Louis-Dreyfus jumped back into her \u201cVeep\u201d character Selina Meyer on Tuesday to deliver a savage tribute to Stephen Colbert on one of his final episodes of \u201cThe Late Show.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Louis-Dreyfus, promoting her new film \u201cThe Sheep Detectives,\u201d began by noting to Colbert how \u201cpeople have been coming on the show recently to sing your praises and give you gifts\u201d ahead of his last show on May 21.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cYou know how much I love you. I really do. I wanted to sort of add to the chorus to sort of boost you along whatever brilliant thing you do next,\u201d the actor said, before revealing \u2014 to Colbert\u2019s surprise \u2014 that she had \u201cgot some of the \u2018Veep\u2019 writers,\u201d a show Colbert is a big fan of, to write \u201cVeep\u201d-style lines in character as Meyer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
