The Royal Family<\/a><\/strong> could reportedly be in the spotlight once again through \u201cThe Crown.\u201d Royal expert Hugo Vickers issued a stark warning about Netflix reportedly making a prequel of the popular TV show. This time, the storyline is said to revolve around the period from Queen Victoria\u2019s death in 1901 through Queen Elizabeth\u2019s wedding in 1947. The Peter Morgan series consists of six seasons, which ran from 2016 to 2023.<\/p>\n

A royal expert warned the Royal Family over \u201cThe Crown\u201d reportedly returning with a prequel on Netflix. British author Hugo Vickers told the Daily Express<\/a> that the royals might not be \u201cconcerned\u201d about it. However, he found it \u201cdepressing\u201d and claimed that he \u201chates the series.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe problem is that they are real people, and the incidents either happened or nearly did \u2013 so the show is making things up and presenting it as fact,\u201d the expert said. Furthermore, he listed the most important issue with \u201cThe Crown.\u201d He insisted that the show had been made \u201cbeautifully,\u201d which looked \u201cvery convincing\u201d to viewers. \u201cI have no issue with the timeline, but I do take issue with the character presentation,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Daily Mail<\/a> broke the news about the spin-off of the famous royal show. A source informed, \u201cNetflix has been locked in negotiations with the company for quite a long time about this spin-off series, but they\u2019ve recently finally managed to seal the deal and come to an agreement.\u201d Furthermore, they mentioned that Morgan has allegedly completed writing the script and \u201ccasting is expected to take place next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

For those unversed, \u201cThe Crown\u201d began its storyline with the death of King George VI and the announcement of her daughter as queen. Across six seasons, the actors playing the monarch\u2019s role changed every two installments. The first two seasons starred Claire Foy, followed by Olivia Colman and Imelda Staunton in the next two.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
