IndieWire is partnering with Andreessen Horowitz, Cultural Leadership Fund and Masters vs Machine for \u201cMusic, Film & the New Storytelling Stack \u2014 Co-Authoring What Comes Next,\u201d a can\u2019t-miss event featuring a live collaboration between composer Roahn Hylton, who will compose music on the spot, and Krea co-founder and chief technology officer Diego Rodriguez, who will be building visuals to accompany the music alongside him in real time.<\/p>\n

The experiment will be followed by a fireside conversation between promise studios co-founder and chief creative officer Dave Clark and Cultural Leadership Fund partner Judene Smalls about the current state of studio models and the process of scaling creative products. <\/p>\n

Andreessen Horowitz, Cultural Leadership Fund convenes the channels \u2014 music, film, tools, audience, policy \u2014 that are co-authoring what comes next.<\/p>\n

Judene Small Jean-Louis<\/strong> \u2014<\/strong> Andreessen Horowitz, Cultural Leadership Fund, Partner<\/strong><\/p>\n

Judene Small is a partner on the Cultural Leadership Fund where she focuses on strategic partnerships and community engagement. Prior to joining a16z, Judene co-founded CHIENET, a marketing and operations company, and RootsxWings, a digital media company focused on highlighting the stories of nonbinary youth. Before that, Judene served as chief strategy officer\u00a0of BAM Communications where she launched the company\u2019s venture and startup marketing practice and served as director of operations for uBeam (now Sonic Energy), helping the company raise over $30 million in funding.<\/p>\n

A professional dancer by training, Judene holds dual-bachelor degrees in Theatre & Dance and Sociology from Trinity College, a MFA in choreography and performance from Mills College, where she also served as an adjunct professor, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School (go Tar Heels!). She currently volunteers as a member of the All Raise Los Angeles Steering committee and is a board member of the Los Angeles Chapter of Best Buddies.<\/p>\n

Roahn Hylton is a Grammy and Emmy nominated composer, producer, and creative strategist working at the intersection of storytelling, music, and emerging technology.
