There\u2019s a new Roxie Hart on her way to wreak havoc in Chicago!<\/p>\n

On December 1, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt<\/a> announced that she will make her Broadway debut as Roxie in Chicago in February 2026.<\/p>\n

The Dancing with the Stars alum joins a long list of iconic stars who have played the role, and each one has brought something special to the stage. From her feisty personality to her bold dance moves, there\u2019s a lot Roxie is known for, and it takes a special actress to nail her portrayal.<\/p>\n

Originally debuted in 1975, Chicago is a musical that follows the satirical concept of \u201ccelebrity criminals.\u201d The play follows Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, both convicted of murder, as the media goes crazy over \u201ckiller women.\u201d Since its debut, it\u2019s become a quick classic, earning countless records and acclaim. In 2002, a movie adaptation was created starring Bridget Jones star\u00a0Ren\u00e9e Zellweger<\/a> and Catherine Zeta-Jones, winning the Academy Award for Best Picture.<\/p>\n

The role of the hilariously unlikeable Roxie Hart has been played by many famous faces, from actresses to reality TV stars and everything in between<\/p>\n
