ask for help\u201d for why she stayed with her ex Dakota Mortensen for so long.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cSecret Lives of Mormon Wives\u201d star shared <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DYWEQg2FdAJ\/?img_index=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a lengthy Instagram post <\/a>Thursday where she said she blames herself for not walking away from her tumultuous relationship with Mortensen, with whom she shares 2-year-old son Ever, until their latest split.<\/p>\n<p>Paul, 31, said that as she was staying silent about her internal struggles, Mortensen, 33, used that to his \u201cadvantage\u201d to allegedly mistreat her.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Taylor Frankie Paul aren\u2019t understanding is you don\u2019t even realize you\u2019re in it and what\u2019s happening psychologically for a long time,\u201d she explained. \u201cYou solely believe you\u2019re the only insane one because they twist everything that you eventually feel insane.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The mom of three blamed Mortensen for \u201cgaslighting\u201d her into staying with him, admitting it\u2019s \u201ctwisted\u201d that she let him get his way for so long.<\/p>\n<p>She also pointed out that when she finally left Mortensen, she was \u201cmanipulated,\u201d \u201cthreatened,\u201d \u201cphysically hurt,\u201d had the cops called on her, lost her friends, and ended up in court fighting for custody of Ever. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image the same in return.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Hulu star acknowledged that while her and Mortensen are \u201cboth in the wrong,\u201d she called him out for calling the cops on her and trying to take their son away from her.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of her post, Paul mentioned <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/12\/entertainment\/secret-lives-of-mormon-wives-star-mikayla-matthews-escalates-frustrating-taylor-frankie-paul-feud\/\">her online drama with co-star Mikayla href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/17\/entertainment\/taylor-frankie-pauls-alleged-domestic-violence-against-ex-halts-mormon-wives-filming\/\">temporarily paused filming on Season 5<\/a>\u00a0due to investigations into multiple alleged domestic violence incidents involving the pair.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Paul\u2019s planned season of \u201cThe Bachelorette\u201d was pulled by ABC after a\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/19\/celebrity-news\/taylor-frankie-paul-attacks-dakota-mortensen-with-chair-in-front-of-daughter-video\/\">disturbing video from 2023 was
