Prog duo Crown Lands<\/a> have unveiled their latest concept record. Apocalypse<\/i><\/a> is out now via InsideOut Music<\/a>.<\/p>\n Like its predecessors, Ritual I <\/i>and II<\/i>, Apocalypse<\/i> was recorded entirely in the band’s home studio, where it was created almost entirely by themselves. For reinforcement, they called in producers Nick Raskulinecz and David Bottrill.<\/p>\n That continuity aligns with the story\u00a0<\/span>Apocalypse<\/span><\/i>\u00a0tells, as it exists in the same timeline as their earlier works, advancing the narrative<\/span>. This is most aptly seen in the 19-minute title track.<\/p>\n “With long-form songs, it always starts with the music,” drummer and vocalist Cody Bowles said via press notes. “We built ‘Apocalypse’ from instrumental sections, some older riffs, a lot of newly inspired ones, and mapped them out on a whiteboard, figuring out how one section could melt into the next.”<\/p>\n Listen to Apocalypse<\/i> in its entirety below.
