Online<\/a><\/p>\n Survivor Greece<\/a> is off the air after a harrowing accident.<\/p>\n A contestant on the series, Stavros Floros<\/strong>, experienced a life-threatening injury while spearfishing off the coast of Dominican Republic during filming.<\/p>\n According to the Toronto Sun<\/a> citing local Greek authorities, Floros was reportedly \u201cdiving without a surface marker buoy in an area frequented by tourist vessels\u201d when a passing boat \u201caccidentally struck him.\u201d<\/p>\n The 21-year-old beekeeper allegedly \u201csustained severe injuries to his legs from the vessel\u2019s outboard engine propellers, including a partial amputation of the left leg and significant trauma to the right ankle.\u201d<\/p>\n Following the incident, production company AcunMedya confirmed an investigation is underway. \u201cFrom the very first moment, there was an immediate response to provide assistance and safely transport the injured contestant,” AcunMedya said per the Toronto Sun, “while the competent port authorities are investigating the causes of the incident in order to fully determine the circumstances.”<\/p>\n It noted that Floros \u201cremains hospitalized in serious but stable condition and is out of danger.\u201d<\/p>\n More from E! Online<\/strong><\/p>\n Meanwhile, SKAI TV has suspended<\/a> the broadcast of Survivor Greece, currently in its 13th season, \u201cuntil the causes of the accident are fully investigated.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSKAI is closely monitoring the progress of the participant’s health and will contribute in every possible way to his treatment,\u201d it noted, \u201cas well as to any hospitalization and rehabilitation care required.\u201d<\/p>\n Survivor Greece\/YouTube<\/p>\n While no one has ever died while playing Survivor\u2014in its original US series or abroad\u2014the series is no stranger to scary accidents.<\/p>\n During season 49, contestant Jake Latimer <\/strong>suffered a bite<\/a> from a poisonous water snake while standing in the shallows off the coast of the Fijian island.<\/p>\n While he ultimately proved to be okay, Latimer was immediately pulled from the game in a medical evacuation, cutting his time on the series short.<\/p>\n Following the incident, host Jeff Probst <\/strong>reflected on just how high the stakes of Survivor really are.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat any evacuation says about this game is that it\u2019s real,\u201d he told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published in October<\/span>. \u201cI still get asked all the time if Survivor is real. It was my last night of shooting. After waiting six hours for an Inyo County Search & Rescue helicopter to get there and fly Zane to Southern Inyo Hospital in Lone Pine, he was stabilized and transferred to a pediatric trauma center in Las Vegas. Placed into a medically induced coma, he eventually began breathing on his own. <\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s going to be a survival story in the end,” Ryan said of his teen, who suffered head trauma along with a broken finger, ankle and fractured pelvis, “but right now we\u2019re still in the middle of it.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Jeremy Renner<\/p>\n On New Years’ Day 2023, Avengers star Jeremy Renner<\/strong><\/a> was using a snowplow to tow a truck that was stuck in the snow on the driveway of his Lake Tahoe home.
