KoRn<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0Munky\u00a0has said the band\u00a0have\u00a0written 40 songs for a new album, while addressing bassist Fieldy\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n The Bakersfield, California nu-metal band\u00a0released their first new music in four years last month<\/a>, \u2018Reward\u00a0The\u00a0Scars\u2019,\u00a0which they created for the\u00a0video game\u00a0Diablo IV: Lord Of Hatred<\/i><\/a>.\u00a0They have also shared the gory animated video for the track<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a new interview with\u00a0Rolling Stone Brasil<\/i><\/a>, guitarist James \u2018Munky\u2019 Shaffer spoke about\u00a0the work they have been putting in on their new record since\u00a02022\u2019s\u00a0\u2018Requiem<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s taking a fucking long time,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019ve gone through\u2026 I swear to God, we\u2019ve written probably almost 40 songs, and gone through \u2019em, and rewrote \u2019em, and got rid of \u2019em, and tore \u2019em apart, and rebuilt \u2019em.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it\u2019s been quite a long process, because we\u2019re very critical about what we do now. We\u2019re very particular, in\u2026 because we wanna keep our original sound. You can\u2019t really get away from that \u2013 when we start playing, it sounds like KoRn, especially with all five of us.\u201d<\/p>\n
