Every since Kid Rock first performed his rendition of Cody Johnson\u2019s \u201c\u2018Til You Can\u2019t\u201d at Hondo Rodeo Fest this past November, country music fans, and even Cody Johnson himself, have been moved by the extra verse. Of course, if you watched the\u00a0Turning Point USA<\/a> <\/strong>All-American Halftime Show<\/em> during the Super Bowl earlier this year, you saw Kid Rock deliver his soulful cover of the CoJo chart-topper.<\/a> <\/strong>He formally released his cover the night after, and it immediately shot #1 in the all-genre iTunes store \u2013 ahead of Super Bowl halftime show headliner Bad Bunny.<\/p>\n Kid introduced the new lyrics by saying that he woke up one morning and felt called to add one more verse:<\/p>\n \u201cI awoke one Sunday morning all alone with this song stuck in my head, and in that moment, something or someone spoke to me. They said there was still a verse that needed to be written for this song. And to get up and write it down.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n The additional verse essentially calls for people to dust of their Bibles (or perhaps buy your first if there isn\u2019t one to dust off) and fully submit their lives to Jesus, embracing the Christian way of life. And given the context of \u201c\u2018Til You Can\u2019t,\u201d there\u2019s a certain sense of urgency in his delivery:<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a book that is sitting in your house somewhere It\u2019s powerful declaration of faith, one that most fans probably never expected to come from an artist like Kid Rock. But that\u2019s kind of the point of the song and the new verse, right?
