The logo change has divided audiences, with some appreciating the new design while others saying it makes the app look like there\u2019s a problem with their screen or that it\u2019s showing a system update.<\/p>\n “Spotify updated their logo today. If it\u2019s only temporary for the 20th anniversary, acceptable. If it\u2019s permanent, absolutely not for me,” wrote one user on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n Along with the logo change, the platform also introduced a new way for users to look back at their listening habits.<\/p>\n “Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s)” is a mobile, in-app experience that gives users a back look at their music listening history<\/a> since they first started using the platform.<\/p>\n “The last 20 years have been defined by the fans who discover, the artists who shape culture, and the world that listens together,” wrote the company in a statement<\/a>. “Here\u2019s to the next 20\u2014it\u2019s all about you.”<\/p>\n Here’s everything to know as Spotify celebrates two decades of streaming.<\/p>\n The logo change is due to Spotify celebrating its 20th anniversary. The platform has not announced whether the change is permanent or temporary.<\/p>\n If the app did not automatically update, you may need to manually update it through the App Store or Google Play to see the logo change.<\/p>\n “Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s)” gives users insights into their listening data, all the way back to when they first began using the platform.<\/p>\n The new analytics tool shows users: their first day on Spotify, the total number of songs listened to, their first streamed song, and their all-time most-streamed artist<\/p>\n The experience also provides a top songs playlist, a collection of users’ top 120 tracks. Similar to Wrapped, the data is presented in fun, colorful graphics that users can share on social media.<\/p>\n The insights appear on users’ Spotify homepage in the mobile app. If they do not show up, users can search for them manually by searching “Spotify 20” or “Party of the Year(s).”<\/p>\n Users may also head to spotify.com\/20<\/a> on mobile.<\/p>\n Spotify was launched in 2006 by Swedish entrepreneurs Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon, according to Britannica<\/a>.
