Prince William<\/a> and Princess Catherine<\/a> may be among the most senior members of the Royal Family<\/a>, but this doesn\u2019t mean that they don\u2019t do ordinary tasks behind the scenes. While The Prince and Princess of Wales have seen their royal responsibilities increase over recent years, which will no doubt help prepare them for their future as King and Queen, they have still kept their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as their top priority.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The real reason for this, according to former royal butler Grant Harrold, is to bring \u201csome normality\u201d to their children\u2019s day-to-day life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Speaking on behalf of Select Car Leasing<\/a>, Grant – who worked for King Charles between 2004 and 2011 when he was a prince – revealed: \u201cBoth William and Kate like doing things for themselves. Their homes runs with very few staff, and their day-to-day life is far more \u2018normal\u2019 than older members of the Royal Family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe school run is part of this. For them, it\u2019s an important part of their children\u2019s daily routine and they want to do it themselves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThey\u2019re well aware that it brings some normality for George, Charlotte and Louis as well. Plus the royal schedule starts at 10am for them, so it\u2019s doable in terms of their work commitments.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Grant also said that William may want him and Catherine to do the school run for another reason.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He said: \u201cI also don\u2019t think William wants the world to see his children being driven to school by a chauffeur, it\u2019s not the image of the monarch he\u2019s trying to project.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the moment, George, Charlotte and Louis all attend Lambrook School – a short drive from the family\u2019s Windsor home, Forest Lodge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, George will soon move on to a secondary school in September, which is likely to see him live away from home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
