Paul McCartney<\/strong><\/a> is sharing a hilarious memory about late Beatles bandmate George Harrison<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 and it involves an electric shock in an, er, very unfortunate place.<\/p>\n During a recent appearance on the Friday, May 15 episode of The Rest Is History podcast<\/a>, the \u201cHey Jude\u201d singer<\/a>, 83, recalled the time he and Harrison were hitchhiking together as young musicians when they accepted a ride on an electric milk-carrying vehicle, or, as the Brits call it, a milk float.<\/p>\n \u201cWe got a lift from a milk float, which was electric,\u201d McCartney explained. \u201cThose were the only vehicles we knew that were electric.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the music legend, Harrison unknowingly sat on top of the vehicle\u2019s battery \u2014 while wearing jeans. Unbeknownst to Harrison, a rear pocket adorned with a large zipper would prove to be the perfect electrical conductor for the battery.<\/p>\n \u201cSuddenly bang! And he jumps up,\u201d McCartney recalled. \u201cThe zip had connected with the two points.\u201d<\/p>\n Curt Gunther \/ Mirrorpix\/Newscom\/The Mega Agency<\/span><\/p>\n The Let It Be songwriter said Harrison immediately leaped into the air screaming, \u201cOh bloody hell!\u201d<\/p>\n But the painful moment didn\u2019t end there.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we got to our B&B, he showed me,\u201d McCartney joked. \u201cHe had a great big zip tattooed into his bum.\u201d<\/p>\n McCartney also reflected warmly on his decades-long friendship with Harrison, who died in 2001 at age 58 following a battle with lung cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n Thankfully, he has a sweet daily reminder of him.<\/p>\n \u201cGeorge was very into horticulture<\/a>, a really good gardener. So he gave me a tree as a present,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s a big fir tree, and it\u2019s by my gate.
