\n\tBulgaria\u2019s Dara has won the 70th Eurovision Song Contest<\/a> with 516 points for her song \u201cBanagaranga.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIsrael\u2019s Noam Bettan came second with 343 points for his track \u201cMichelle\u201d while Alexandra C\u0103pit\u0103nescu, who was representing Romania with the song \u201cChoke Me,\u201d took home third place with 296 points.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast place went to the U.K., who were represented by Sam Battle, performing under the stage name Look Mum No Computer, with the track \u201cEins, Zwei, Drei.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAustralia and Italy rounded out the top five with Delta Goodrem\u2019s song \u201cEclipse\u201d coming in fourth place (with 287 points) and Sal Da Vinci, who sang \u201cPer Sempre S\u00ec,\u201d coming in at number five (with 281 points). <\/p>\n

\n\tDa Vinci won with the track at the Sanremo Music Festival earlier this year, giving him the right of first refusal to represent Italy at Eurovision. Other familiar faces at this year\u2019s competition included Cyprus\u2019s entry Antigoni, who U.K. viewers might know from 2022\u2019s \u201cLove Island\u201d Season 8, who was performing her track \u201cJalla,\u201d and of course Goodrem, who appeared on long-running Australian soap \u201cNeighbours\u201d before launching a singing career.<\/p>\n

\n\tTaking place at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria, this year\u2019s contest, which was themed \u201cUnited by Music,\u201d represented the 70th anniversary of the competition. Austria\u2019s hosts were model and singer Victoria Swarovski and actor Michael Ostrowski<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite some protests, including the boycott of five countries<\/a>, this was the second year that Israel came in second place after Yuval Raphael performed her track \u201cNew Day Will Rise.\u201d Bettan got a respective number of votes from the juries, coming in fifteenth place once the jury vote had been tallied, and rising to number one after the audience awarded Israel 220 points. However it ultimately couldn\u2019t compete with the 589 audience points for Bulgaria, resulting in the country\u2019s first-ever win at the competition.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis year 35 countries voted in the competition, with votes weighted equally between each country\u2019s juries and the audience.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast year\u2019s winner, Switzerland\u2019s JJ, was at the competition to hand over the glass trophy to Dara. JJ won in 2025 with the song \u201cWasted Love,\u201d garnering 436 points. <\/p>\n

\n\tEurovision first launched in 1956, making it the world\u2019s longest-running annual international televised music competition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
