\n\tElla Langley<\/a> brought her song \u201cBe Her\u201d to the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

\n\tLangley, in a white gown, chose to strip down the track, off her latest album Dandelion<\/em>. Langley played acoustic guitar, with two acoustic players behind her, as she sang, \u201cI just wanna be her so bad.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tMost would prefer to be Langley on Sunday night. The Alabama singer-songwriter won Female Artist of the Year and Artist-Songwriter of the Year, while her crossover smash \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d was named both Single and Song of the Year.<\/p>\n

\n\tLangley discussed how \u201cBe Her\u201d came from a genuine desire to grow when stopping by the Katie and Company radio show <\/em><\/a>earlier this year. \u201cWhat it\u2019s about, truly, is it\u2019s not about being someone else, it\u2019s about being the her you want to be,\u201d Langley said. \u201cI think there\u2019s things that every single person on this planet would like to see themselves do better as a human being, you know what I mean?\u201d She added, \u201cI was just honest, those are all things that I\u2019m looking forward to, in my life, changing about myself a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLast month, Langley made her Stagecoach debut <\/a>and delivered a performance that included \u201cBottom of Your Boots\u201d and \u201cBroken\u201d off her new album\u00a0Dandelion<\/a><\/em>, chart-topping single \u201cChoosin Texas,\u201d and fan favorite \u201c20-20\u201d from the deluxe reissue\u00a0Still Hungover<\/em> \u2014 she even surprised the crowd by bringing out comedian Theo Von for a duet of \u201cI Can\u2019t Love You Anymore<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing the release of \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d Langley made history when the single reached Number One on\u00a0Billboard\u2019<\/em>s Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts at the same time. Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, and Shaboozey are the only other artists to ever achieve the feat; Langley is the first woman.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe singer-songwriter is up for seven awards at this year\u2019s\u00a0ACM Awards, scoring Single of the Year and Song of the Year nominations for \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas.\u201d Women dominated at the 61st AMAs, with Megan Moroney, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, and Langley each scoring more nominations than any male artist.<\/p>\n
