Vietnamese-based music company DAO Music Entertainment<\/strong>\u00a0has entered into a partnership with The Orchard<\/a><\/strong>, the distribution and artist\/label services company owned by Sony Music Entertainment<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n The deal, according to a press release, will give DAO Music Entertainment<\/strong> access to The Orchard<\/strong>\u2018s global distribution network and resources, with the aim of expanding the reach of Vietnamese music to international audiences.<\/p>\n DAO Music Entertainment<\/strong> was founded in 2020<\/strong> by CEO Chien Dao<\/strong> and is headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The company says it operates as a Vietnamese music-focused ecosystem with three labels and integrated capabilities across music production, artist development, marketing, digital and physical distribution, and publishing.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are excited about our partnership with The Orchard<\/strong> and look forward to bringing Vietnamese music to the world together,\u201d said Chien Dao<\/strong>, CEO and Founder of DAO Music Entertainment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cDAO<\/strong> was built as a complete music ecosystem to develop the next generation of Vietnamese artists and music companies and strengthen the connection between Vietnam<\/strong> and the global music business.<\/p>\n \u201cLeveraging The Orchard<\/strong>\u2018s global footprint gives us the expertise and network to accelerate that mission.\u201d<\/p>\n DAO Music Entertainment<\/strong> describes itself as \u201cVietnam\u2019s leading music ecosystem,\u201d offering what it calls comprehensive solutions to support artists and labels at every stage of the music value chain.<\/p>\n The company\u2019s roster includes Vietnamese artists such as D\u01b0\u01a1ng Domic<\/strong> \u2013 who topped the first-ever Official Vietnam Chart<\/strong> in January 2025<\/strong>, when IFPI<\/a><\/strong> launched official music charts across Southeast Asia<\/a> \u2013 as well as Juky San<\/strong>, \u00c1nh S\u00e1ng AZA<\/strong>, and more.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are excited about our partnership with The Orchard<\/strong> and look forward to bringing Vietnamese music to the world together,\u201d said Chien Dao<\/strong>, CEO and Founder of DAO Music Entertainment<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n Chien Dao<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The Orchard<\/strong>, led by CEO Brad Navin<\/strong>, operates in more than 50<\/strong> cities worldwide and services over 26,000<\/strong> independent labels.<\/p>\n The New York<\/strong>-headquartered company was founded in 1997<\/strong> and became a fully owned subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment<\/strong> following a $200 million<\/strong> acquisition in 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The deal with DAO Music Entertainment<\/strong> comes amid a period of expansion for The Orchard<\/strong>, which in recent months has acquired Brazil\u2019s OniMusic<\/a>, struck a global distribution deal with Japan\u2019s Avex Music Group<\/a>, and\u00a0appointed\u00a0Heather Vassar<\/strong>\u00a0as SVP to lead its Nashville division<\/a>.<\/p>\n Vietnam<\/strong>\u2018s music market has attracted growing attention from global music companies in recent years.<\/p>\n In January\u00a02026<\/strong>,\u00a0Sony<\/a> Music<\/strong>\u00a0acquired a 49% stake in 1Label<\/a>, the music production and artist management unit of Vietnamese media company\u00a0YeaH1 Group<\/strong>, launching a joint venture called\u00a0SYE Holdings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n And in March 2026<\/strong>, Primary Wave<\/a> Music<\/strong> made a strategic investment in Vietnam\u2019s POPS Music<\/a>, with plans to accelerate catalog deals across Southeast Asia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In September 2025<\/strong>, Virgin Music Group<\/strong> \u2013 part of Universal Music Group<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 expanded into Vietnam via a joint venture with The Metub Company<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n
