LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) \u2014\u00a0Updated renderings reported by Louisville Business First<\/a> offer a new look at the proposed $250 million entertainment district planned near Louisville Slugger Field.<\/p>\n

Announced in 2024<\/a>, the proposed Louisville Entertainment District is a 500,000-square-foot development planned to combine office, retail, restaurant hospitality and entertainment uses. It would be built on top of the city-owned parking lot just east of the baseball stadium.<\/p>\n

The $250 million project, wedged into a parking lot just east of the baseball stadium and southwest of the Interstate 65 interchange, calls for 225 apartments, a boutique hotel with 170 rooms, office and meeting spaces, retail shops, a new entrance to Slugger Field and on-site parking.<\/p>\n

The project would also add more parking for fans to come to Bats games with the addition of a 520-spot parking garage.<\/p>\n

LBF reported Mayor Craig Greenberg and his office plan to seek local and state approvals this summer. Construction is expected to begin in 2027.<\/p>\n
