($ of course).”<\/p>\n However, a source close to Hewitt and Davidson says that both of them are trying to find the right fit for child care for their daughter.<\/p>\n “Both of them are prioritizing finding proper child care,” the source tells PEOPLE. “They’re going through a proper professional vetting process to find the next nanny.”<\/p>\n Over the weekend, Hewitt shared a TikTok video<\/a> hitting back against criticisms of her casual appearance in recent paparazzi photos<\/a>. In the clip, the new mom shared that she’s raising her daughter “on her own.”<\/p>\n \u201cThat’s not what I’m thinking about right now, because I have a baby to take care of, and I also have to work and make money, and I’m doing it on my own, which is hard,\u201d Hewitt said.<\/p>\n In the comments section, Hewitt liked a response<\/a> from a TikTok user who said that \u201cnot staying with your partner\u201d when they are postpartum is \u201cinsanely loser behavior.”<\/p>\n The commenter added, “This is THE most vulnerable time in a woman’s life.\u201d Hewitt appears to have since deleted the like.<\/p>\n In response to Hewitt’s claims, a source close to Davidson told PEOPLE, “Pete has made himself extremely available and has provided full financial support. Pete is actually covering all Scottie costs and more.”<\/p>\n The insider added, “He is hoping Elsie has good health and success for the sake of their daughter.”<\/p>\n Hewitt’s social media posts came days after news broke that she and Davidson had decided to go their separate ways.<\/p>\n “They’re not getting along right now,” an inside source told PEOPLE exclusively<\/a> after news broke of the split. “They were already struggling a bit while Elsie was pregnant. Things just happened so quickly between them, and they didn’t know each other very well.”<\/p>\n They added that the pair were “trying to work through” how they’ll “be able to co-parent.”<\/p>\n Hewitt and Davidson were first romantically linked in March 2025.
