Mary In The Junkyard<\/a> have announced UK, European and North American tour dates for 2026, and shared a new single called \u2018New Muscles\u2019. Find all the details and listen below.<\/p>\n The track is the third preview of the London band and former\u00a0NME<\/em>\u00a0Cover stars<\/a>\u2018 debut studio album, \u2018Role Model Hermit\u2019<\/a>, which is released on July 3 via AMF Records. It follows on from the recent songs \u2018Crash Landing\u2019<\/a>\u00a0and \u2018Candelabra\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018New Muscles\u2019 \u2013 the most calisthenic release to date \u2013 is out today and ready to stream everywhere, accompanied by the strongest and most nutrient-dense video the world has ever seen,\u201d the group wrote.<\/p>\n They went on to describe the infectious, melodic cut as \u201cblood, sweat and tears embodied and immortalised in sound \u2013 based on a true story of David [Addison, drummer] falling in love with the gym\u201d.<\/p>\n Mary In The Junkyard have already been playing the single live at recent shows, and it became a fan favourite when they supported Wet Leg<\/a>\u00a0on their 2025 US tour.<\/p>\n The track showcases a lighter, more playful side of the trio\u2019s sound, with the members explaining that \u2018New Muscles\u2019 \u201cwas originally composed on the accordion\u201d.<\/p>\n It is accompanied by an official music video, shot in south-east London. For the visuals, bassist Saya Barbaglia and vocalist\/guitarist Clari Freeman-Taylor learned the Muay Thai martial art.<\/p>\n
