Legendary performer Diana Ross will perform for one night only at Stamford’s Palace Theatre, the theater announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ross<\/a>, who began her career as a teenager in Detroit and then rose to international stardom with The\u00a0Supremes, will appear Aug. 16 at the historic theater.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The performance is part of the theater’s 100th anniversary celebration.<\/a> according to a release. Ross last performed in Stamford as\u00a0the theater\u2019s Gala main act in 2011, according to the release.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“Her return serves as the glittering centerpiece for the countdown to the theatre\u2019s centennial year, bridging the golden era of\u00a0Motown with the vibrant future of the performing arts,” according to the release.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
