Musgraves is already anticipating what she may see in the crowd on her new tour, emphasizing, \u201cI\u2019ve loved this modern day of concert-going where people kind of pick a theme and run with it and it\u2019s almost like Halloween. They just have so much fun with it and it\u2019s fun for me to look out and see people in the crowd really expressing themselves.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tLooking back at the past several weeks since releasing Middle of Nowhere<\/em> on May 1, Musgraves says, \u201cto see people gravitate towards the songs that really mean so much to me is truly just the icing on the beautiful cake.\u201d And as for how active she is in reading reviews or gauging reaction on social media, she explains, \u201cI kind of dip in here and there but I don\u2019t live and die by what the public is saying. Everyone\u2019s entitled to their own opinion and the only opinion that matters to me is mine. I\u2019m really proud of it and it was an important album for me to make so that\u2019s kind of really my compass there \u2014 but it\u2019s been really great to see people really connecting.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tLeading up to the release, Musgraves went about her album promo in some unconventional ways \u2014 among them, dressed up as an armadillo<\/a> to get her copy at Walmart and performing in Ronnie Dunn drag<\/a> at a surprise Nashville show. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThe side quests are getting so crazy, I don\u2019t think I can control them anymore. I don\u2019t know where the line is, I\u2019ve lost the plot,\u201d Musgraves laughs. \u201cIt\u2019s just fun to like not take shit so seriously. I know my manager, he sighs the biggest sighs when he sees me coming out in the armadillo costume. He\u2019s like, \u2018Really?’\u201d she continues, acknowledging she doesn\u2019t run her stunts by anyone so \u201cno one can talk me out of it.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tAnd will her online skits ever lead to more serious acting work? Not so fast. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI\u2019m a terrible actress, I feel. I laugh, I\u2019m a laugher. I start overthinking. If they\u2019re like, \u2018Hey, walk across this room and go pick up that glass,\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018How do you do that again?\u2019 Like the awkwardness jumps out,\u201d she teases. \u201cI don\u2019t know. I guess never say never. I\u2019m open to really anything that feels organic, but you never know. If they have a role for, you know, a burgeoning armadillo, maybe I\u2019ll consider it.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tStarting May 19, the Kacey Lee collection will be available exclusively at Walmart and\u00a0Walmart.com, launching in approximately 2,100 stores nationwide.
