The album is currently set to drop on June 12, and on April 17, she followed up the album announcement with the first single: a high-energy pop track titled \u201cdrop dead<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n And this week, Rodrigo\u2019s giving fans yet another<\/em> reason to get excited for the rollout, as she just officially teased the second single on Instagram!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Taking to her grid on Tuesday, May 19, the Grammy Award-winner shared a single photo of herself taken from her nose down as she sported a bubblegum-pink button-up. In her hands, she played cat\u2019s cradle with a piece of red string, which\u2014upon closer inspection\u2014spelled out \u201cthe cure.\u201d <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Rodrigo\u2019s caption alongside the snapshot confirmed the two words were indeed the new song\u2019s title, writing, \u201c\u2018the cure\u2019 comes out this friday. it\u2019s my favorite song on the album and one of my favorite songs I\u2019ve ever made. couldn\u2019t be more excited for you guys to hear it. presave up now\ud83e\ude77\u2764\ufe0f\ud83e\ude77\u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At the time of this article\u2019s publication, the announcement already has over 1.4 million likes and 14,000 comments in just three hours, with many fans, followers and famous friends quick to share their excitement for the upcoming tune. \u201cLfg,\u201d fellow recording artist Gracie Abrams simply penned. Meanwhile, another fan joked, \u201cIt\u2019s my favorite already.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Aside from being the title of her next single, The Cure appears to be a running theme for Rodrigo\u2019s latest era in general. The singer-songwriter has long been a vocal fan of the classic rock group, citing them as an inspiration for her own songwriting<\/a> on more than one occasion. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Back in 2025, Rodrigo was even joined onstage by the group\u2019s lead singer, Robert Smith<\/a>, during her set at the Glastonbury Festival.
