Summer House<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Kyle Cooke<\/strong><\/a> is sharing an update on estranged wife Amanda Batula<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s mental health amid backlash over her recent romance with costar West Wilson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know people are like, \u2018Why are you sticking up for her? Why are you defending her?\u2019 I\u2019m not. I\u2019m just trying to be there for her,\u201d Kyle, 43, said<\/a> on the Tuesday, May 19, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen<\/em><\/a>. \u201cNo matter what, I still care for her. There\u2019s still a lot of love. I spent literally 10 years [with her]. I\u2019m not excusing her behavior.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEven when the writing was on the wall, there\u2019s still love,\u201d added Kyle, who separated from Amanda, 34, in January after a decade together, including four years of marriage.<\/p>\n

In March, Amanda shockingly<\/a> revealed her burgeoning relationship with West, 31, who previously dated her best friend on Summer House<\/em>,\u00a0Ciara Miller<\/strong>. The news caused a stir through the Summer House<\/em> cast and Bravo fans.<\/p>\n

Kyle\u2019s Summer House<\/em> and In the City<\/em> costar Lindsay Hubbard<\/strong>, who was also a guest on Tuesday\u2019s WWHL<\/em>, weighed in on Kyle\u2019s support of his ex.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is why I cried so much. I started realizing how much Kyle, even at this reunion \u2026 Kyle loves this girl so f***ing much. He loves her. It was so evident,\u201d Lindsay, 39, said, referring to the tense Summer House<\/em> season 10 reunion<\/a> that filmed last month and saw the cast challenge Amanda and West about their relationship.<\/p>\n

On Monday, May 18, Kyle and Amanda appeared to put on a united front<\/a> at the New York City premiere of the Summer House<\/em> spinoff In the City<\/em>. However, after receiving criticism for posing for photos with his estranged wife, Kyle came to Amanda\u2019s defense<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou guys, yes, Amanda and I took a picture together,\u201d Kyle said in a video posted to his Instagram Stories early Tuesday, May 19.<\/p>\n
