One royal commentator recently shared that Prince Harry<\/a> has many “regrets about his life choices”, having stepped back from royal duties in early 2020. The 41-year-old made the decision to step away from his life in the Royal Family and is now living in California with his wife, Meghan Markle<\/a>, and their two children, seven-year-old Prince Archie<\/a> and four-year-old Princess Lilibet<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Speculation has arisen over the years as to whether Harry will make a royal comeback, with no indication that he will do so six years after his exit. The couple said in their January 2020 statement that they wished to “work to become financially independent”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As reported by GB News, commentator Rafe Heydel-Mankoo said: “I think it’s quite clear that Prince Harry<\/a> has many regrets about the life choices that have ended up with him being estranged from his homeland and from his family and from the role he most enjoyed: being a royal prince.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“I think that’s why you’re seeing him essentially trying to play the role of a prince in exile, with these pseudo-royal tours, as we’ve seen in Australia and Ukraine<\/a>.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He added: “I think he realises that the fulfilment he got from those hasn’t been matched by anything he’s done in America.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“And I think he’s also realised, and they’ve both realised, that their prominence, their status, depends on their proximity to the Royal Family.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During his recent interview on his visit to Ukraine, which came shortly after returning from Australia with Meghan, Harry rejected claims that he is “not a working royal”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The father-of-two told the broadcaster that he sees himself as continuing to do the work he was \u201cborn to do”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He added that he values humanitarian trips, the people he meets, and the ability to draw attention to issues that fall out of news cycles when other events dominate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
