Phil Collins<\/a> recently made a rare public appearance after revealing in January that he\u2019s under 24-hour care in an honest health update.<\/p>\n On May 15, the former Genesis frontman\u2019s ex-wife, Jill Collins, posted a photo via Instagram<\/a> of herself posing with Phil, Rod Stewart<\/a>, and Stewart\u2019s wife, Penny Lancaster, at Buckingham Palace. They were at The King\u2019s Trust 50th anniversary event, held on May 11.<\/p>\n In the snap, Phil, 75 \u2014 who retired from drumming in 2022, after severe nerve damage left him unable to hold drumsticks \u2014 stood between Jill and Stewart while using forearm crutches. He wore a black suit and a red tie for the occasion.<\/p>\n \u201cDespite the downpours of torrential rain, which did not seem to dampen the festivities, @officialphilcollins and I were very proud and honored to be there and have a few private moments with King Charles<\/a>, who seemed genuinely pleased to see Phil, who was the very first ambassador 40 years ago and a trustee even before that!\u201d Jill captioned her update.<\/p>\n In the comments, fans were thrilled to see a rare glimpse of Phil. One Instagram user wrote, \u201cFantastic to see Phil looking so good.\u201d<\/p>\n Someone else shared, \u201cPhil is looking fabulous! Out and about and doing what he loves\u2026keep it up, Phil!
