Ninth St., Little Rock, opens the 65th Young Arkansas Artists exhibition with a tour, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday. Guests can view the exhibition, explore the museum&#8217;s Windgate Art School, learn about summer art camps and create their own artworks through free, drop-in activities.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s exhibition expands to four works per grade, K-12. A panel of museum and art professionals has chosen the 52 artworks; the grand juror, Celeste Alexander, executive director of the Arts &amp; Science Center for Southeast Arkansas in Pine Bluff, is also selecting a &#8220;Best in Class&#8221; award for each grade.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition remains up through July 26 in the museum&#8217;s Robyn and John Horn Gallery. Admission to the tour and the museum is free. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, noon-5 p.m. Sunday. Visit <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/arkmfa.org\/art\/exhibitions\/65th-young-arkansas-artists\">arkmfa.org\/art\/exhibitions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><u>ETC.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Broadway Bound winners<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Collin Carlton, a senior at Pulaski Academy, and Annie Zimmerman, a senior at Episcopal Collegiate School, will represent Central Arkansas at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, aka the Jimmy Awards, June 22 in New York, after taking top acting honors at the May 11 Broadway Bound Awards of Central Arkansas showcase at Little Rock&#8217;s Robinson Center Performance Hall.<\/p>\n<p>The Jimmy Awards celebrate student achievement in high school musical theater across the country. Two nominees from each local regional ceremony will spend 10 days in New York, June 12-23, engaged in a rigorous intensive that includes coaching sessions, training and rehearsals, culminating in an extraordinary talent showcase live in front of an audience on a Broadway stage June 22. Sullivan also received the &#8220;Spirit of Broadway&#8221; award; Lauren Smith of El Dorado High was named &#8220;Rising Star.&#8221; The Director&#8217;s Award for Vocal Excellence went to Jordan Easter of Joe T. Robinson High School and the Director&#8217;s Award for Choreography went to Charlie Johnson of Episcopal Collegiate School, who also took the Peoples&#8217; Choice Award.
