John Travolta’s new fashion style made yet another appearance on Tuesday’s episode of Today<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Al Roker surprised Travolta by also wearing a beret.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Travolta debuted the look at the Cannes Film Festival, where he also debuted his first film as director.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Beret fever is spreading!<\/p>\n John Travolta<\/a>‘s viral Cannes Film Festival look<\/a> has made its way back to the United States, and other celebrities are getting in on the fashion trend.<\/p>\n The Oscar-nominated actor stopped by Tuesday’s Today <\/em>show, rocking his latest beret, and, at the end of the interview, Al Roker appeared on screen to give his weather report, while donning his own beret.<\/p>\n A delighted Travolta gave his seal approval, telling Roker, “Go for it, man!”<\/p>\n Over the weekend, Travolta arrived in France to premiere his directorial debut, Propeller One-Way Night Coach<\/em> \u2014\u00a0and a striking new look. Making a rare public appearance, the Grease<\/em> icon look transformed via his dark, close-cropped beard, thin-rimmed, circular spectacles, and a series of slouching berets.<\/p>\n Travolta’s new style was the talk of the festival online and on daytime TV. You’re an actor, play the part of a director, look like an old-school director,'” he continued. “So I looked up pictures from the ’20, ’30s, ’40s, ’50, ’60s, and the old-school directors wore berets, and the glasses, and I thought, ‘That’s what I’m doing. I’m doing an homage to being a director, so I’m going to play the part of being a director.'”<\/p>\n Well, we’re all thankful that we’ll get the chance to reflect back on this Travolta era!<\/p>\n
