\n It\u2019s been less than a year and a half since OsamaSon<\/a> dropped JumpOut<\/a><\/i>, but it feels like the ascendant South Carolinian has been on a rocket to the moon ever since. He toured behind that album, then dropped the even-more-moshpit-ready psykotic<\/i>, one of our top albums of 2025<\/a>, and toured behind that<\/i> record too. His set at this year\u2019s Rolling Loud was titanic, he just modeled for Balenciaga, and hype for his next album NOCTURNAL<\/i> is sky-high. Speaking more personally, I\u2019d call OsamaSon the best rage rapper out \u2013 his music isn\u2019t just \u201chard-knocking\u201d or \u201cbanging,\u201d but keenly aware of melody and negative space, every 808 and distortion filter calibrated just so.\n <\/p>\n \n Released to celebrate his birthday, \u201coff that!\u201d is a squiggly, bouncy track, instantly recalling the delirium of fan favorites \u201cSlime U Out\u201d and \u201cWerkin.\u201d At first blush, it might seem like business as usual, but everything about this track feels just a touch crisper and cleaner than his past work. Lil O\u2019s squeaked flow, which burrows through unexpected cracks in the instrumental: \u201cI\u2019m in a big room right now I\u2019m off them shits!\u201d And the scuzzy beat, produced by 1st Class, Dayever, and Trisstt, swarms with tiny glistening gummy worms of ear candy: barely audible synthlines, a ghostly choir of OsamaSon\u2019s own adlibs, ice endlessly shaking in a styrofoam cup. If this is what being NOCTURNAL<\/i> sounds like, who needs the sun?\n <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n
