But while fans ingest the three albums and the combined 43 tracks between them, one song has begun to separate from the pack as the streaming favorite: \u201cJanice STFU.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tIn the days since the albums\u2019 release, the Sopranos<\/em>-referencing (and even Sopranos<\/em>-sampling) Iceman<\/em> cut has taken over as Drake\u2019s top song \u2014 and indeed, the top song period \u2014\u00a0on the U.S. daily streaming charts for both Spotify and Apple Music. While its release Friday (May 16) saw Iceman<\/em> opener \u201cMake Them Cry\u201d as the sets\u2019 most-streamed cut with 14.1 million first-day official on-demand U.S. streams, according to early data provided by Luminate, by Saturday \u201cSTFU Janice\u201d had taken over as the most-streamed cut with just over 6.2 million, narrowly beating out the Future- and Molly Santana-featuring \u201cRan 2 Atlanta\u201d at just under 6.2 million. (\u201cMake Them Cry\u201d had dropped to 5.1 million.) <\/p>\n \n\tAs of Monday, \u201cJanice\u201d was still pacing the set with 5.4 million daily plays, while also delighting fans<\/a> and superproducers<\/a> and NBA MVPs<\/a> and even the progeny of West Coast rap royalty<\/a>. In other words, if you\u2019re wondering about the most likely breakout hit from the 43 new Drake songs in our lives this week \u2014\u00a0or maybe even the biggest threat to take over at No. 1 on next week\u2019s Billboard Hot 100<\/a> \u2014 you should probably start here. \u2013 ANDREW UNTERBERGER<\/em> <\/p>\n \n\tIt\u2019s\u00a0been almost five years since Yung Miami scored her first unaccompanied Hot 100 entry with \u201cRap Freaks\u201d (No. 81) \u2014 and it looks like her second is on the way.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tCo-signed<\/a>\u00a0by Fat Joe and Jadakiss and steadily winning over social media, \u201cSpend It\u201d arrived on April 24, alongside its official music video. The hook-laden mid-tempo track finds the former City Girls member exploring familiar territory \u2014 scamming and contemporary romance \u2014 and\u00a0its catchy hook has won over audiences due to its sing-songy\u00a0cadence and Miami\u2019s Opa-locka-rooted accent.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tMiami\u00a0has\u00a0also\u00a0been hitting the promo circuit in anticipation of her forthcoming solo debut studio album,\u00a0even sharing an EP of alternate\u00a0version\u00a0for fans who felt the song would sound better if sped up. Her presence and dedication to the record \u2014 combined with early skeptics eventually coming around \u2014 have resulted in notable streaming gains.\u00a0According to Luminate, \u201cSpend Dat\u201d collected a little over 1 million official on-demand U.S. streams\u00a0during the week of May 1-7. That figure leapt 107% to over 2.23 million official streams the following week (May 8-14).\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tOn May 9, TikTok user\u00a0@\/mrflawdaaa (a popular creator\u00a0who\u2019s\u00a0launched\u00a0viral dances\u00a0for artists like Bossman\u00a0Dlow), shared a\u00a0\u201cSpend Dat\u201d dance challenge<\/a>,\u00a0racking\u00a0up\u00a0nearly 600,000\u00a0views and sparking\u00a0a legitimate trend.\u00a0Yung Miami\u00a0hopped on the trend<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0May 17, with her post earning over 1.3 million views. During the weekend of May 8-10, \u201cSpend Dat\u201d earned over 870,000 official on-demand U.S. streams, with that figure jumping 107% to over 1.8 million official streams the following weekend, which reflects about a week of the dance trend\u2019s burgeoning virality.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tOn TikTok, the\u00a0official\u00a0\u201cSpend Dat\u201d sound<\/a>\u00a0plays\u00a0in\u00a0nearly 8,000\u00a0clips, while the sound attached to her\u00a0On the Radar performance<\/a>\u00a0of the song can be heard in 17,000\u00a0additional\u00a0posts.\u00a0\u201cSpend Dat\u201d also\u00a0plays in\u00a0over 3,300\u00a0Instagram Reels<\/a>. With a \u201cSpend Dat\u201d\u00a0Goyard\u00a0giveaway<\/a>\u00a0in process,\u00a0a\u00a0gas drive<\/a>\u00a0in her hometown of Miami on May 17 and the full album still on the way \u2014 expect \u201cSpend Dat\u201d to continue growing as the summer heats up. \u2014\u00a0KYLE DENIS<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tNot far behind Drake, the reception for Noah Kahan\u2019s The Great Divide<\/em> album is undoubtedly becoming one of the streaming stories of the year. Not only did the album generate enough blockbuster-sized numbers during its debut week to chart all 17 tracks on the Hot 100 \u2014\u00a0as well as four extra bonus cuts, added to the album before the end of its first day of release \u2014\u00a0but the 21 combined Kahan songs all continued to stream well enough in the album\u2019s second week to spend a second week on the chart, a rare level of week-over-week consistency for such a big debut. <\/p>\n \n\tWhile the decline has been slow, the great majority of the 21 songs have slipped week-to-week in streams from that debut week. But \u201cOrbiter,\u201d a tender ballad included as one of the four bonus cuts added to the album slightly after the fact, has actually begun to gain, and is now positioned to be one of the biggest and longest-lasting hits from this Kahan era. <\/p>\n \n\tThe growth has come from TikTok\u2019s embrace of the song as a trending audio, with its sentimental \u201cI circle you\u201d chorus soundtracking many thousands of clips<\/a> \u2014\u00a0most from one half of a couple paying tribute to the other, but also including infinite varieties on that theme. Another similar audio focusing on the \u201ceven anxious pups need the moon\u201d part of the refrain has become a predictable favorite<\/a> among pet-owners, with Kahan himself<\/a> indulging in such a video last week, captioning it \u201cThis trend is making my eyes dusty.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tThe impact of these trends has been evident in the song\u2019s official on-demand U.S. audio streams, which have climbed from 4.6 million for the tracking week ending Apr. 30 (just after the album\u2019s release) to 5.3 million the week ending May 7 and 6.7 million the week ending May 14 \u2014\u00a0in total a 46% gain from release week. Meanwhile, the song has climbed from No. 79 to No. 56 on the Hot 100, leapfrogging several songs on the album that initially debuted higher than it, and threatening to jump into the chart\u2019s top half next week as it continues to dustify eyes of listeners across the country. \u2013 AU<\/em><\/p>\n \n\tFrom \u201cIllegal\u201d to \u201cStateside\u201d \u2014 not to mention double Grammy nominations \u2014\u00a0PinkPantheress\u2019\u00a0Fancy That<\/em>\u00a0era has been a resounding success. On May 8, she shared the\u00a0official \u201cGirl Like Me\u201d music video<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0celebrate her mixtape\u2019s first birthday \u2014 and sneakily\u00a0launch\u00a0her latest streaming hit.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tAbout a month before the music video arrived, \u201cGirl Like Me\u201d earned just over one million official on-demand U.S. streams during the week of April 10-16.\u00a0That figure jumped 56% over the following two weeks to over 1.69 million official streams during the period of April 24-30, according to Luminate. By the week of May 8-14, which accounts for the first full week of the music\u00a0video\u2019s\u00a0release,\u00a0\u201cGirl Like Me\u201d leapt a further 69% to over 2.85 million official weekly streams.\u00a0Over the past four weeks, \u201cGirl Like Me\u201d has exploded by over 165% in\u00a0streaming activity.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tNotably, there\u2019s also a\u00a0mashup<\/a>\u00a0of \u201cGirl Like Me\u201d and Snow Strippers\u2019 \u201cUnder Your Spell\u201d\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0been dominating TikTok over the past 4-5 months, playing in over 125,000 clips on the platform, with most of those finding users\u00a0recreating<\/a>\u00a0Pink\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0live<\/a>\u00a0choreography<\/a>\u00a0for her song. \u201cGirl Like Me\u201d also currently\u00a0plays in\u00a0over 12,000\u00a0Instagram Reels<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tAlready a No. 13 hit on Billboard<\/em>\u2018s Dance\/Pop Songs<\/a> chart, \u201cGirl Like Me\u201d could potentially make\u00a0Fancy That<\/em>\u00a0the soundtrack\u00a0for\u00a0a second consecutive summer. \u2014\u00a0K.D.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n
