Ahead of his upcoming musical comedy Power Ballad<\/em>, Paul Rudd<\/strong><\/a> opened up to E! News<\/a> about what it was really like working with Jonas Brothers<\/a> heartthrob Nick Jonas<\/strong><\/a>. It turns out, connecting on the set of Power Ballad<\/em> was \u201creally easy\u201d for our new favorite duo.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know, it\u2019s funny,\u201d Rudd said at the premiere of Power Ballad<\/em> in New York City<\/a>. \u201cThere\u2019s a scene in the movie where [our characters] kind of first meet and hang out and start, you know, kind of jamming and writing together, and that was the first thing that Nick and I shot together. And so we were kind of getting to know each other as people, while we\u2019re getting to know each other as characters. And it really was, it just, it felt really easy. We kind of clicked right away.\u201d<\/p>\n Power Ballad<\/em> follows two musicians who meet at a wedding at an Irish castle, Variety<\/em><\/a> reported. Rudd\u2019s character, Rick Power, fronts a band called the Bridge and Groove, playing wedding gigs now and then. Nick Jonas\u2019 character, Danny Wilson, was once a boy-band star, but missed his chance to start a solo career. Together, the two develop a friendship<\/a>.<\/p>\n Rudd said that filming Power Ballad<\/em> was his first time meeting Jonas, and he \u201cdidn\u2019t know him at all.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe put me at ease, certainly,\u201d Rudd said. \u201cI mean, he\u2019s the real deal. That\u2019s a little nerve-racking to kind of do that with somebody who does [music<\/a>] for a living. But he was great, and it was really fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Power Ballad<\/em> will have a limited release on May 29, then expand to theaters everywhere on June 5. The film comes after the release of Jonas\u2019 fifth solo album, Sunday Best<\/em><\/a>.
