They really did it, Gutter Gang. After pushing the boundaries of taste (and decipherability<\/a>), Shelby, North Carolina deathcore veterans FILTH<\/strong> have taken the plunge into full-on slam metal. This new five-piece, which features all four members of Filth, is called SLAM BAND<\/strong>. And they’ve just dropped their debut single, “DOOKIE.”<\/p>\n If my dookie can make it out of the hood… maybe we can, too.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n According to the band’s Facebook page:<\/p>\n We are SLAM BAND. We Slam, Fart, and Barf.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n “DOOKIE” liberally samples a Key & Peele<\/em> sketch<\/a> about a question that has plagued man for centuries<\/a>: “Where my dookie go?” <\/p>\n As for the lyrics, the music video is captioned with the following:<\/p>\n Lyrics: Who knows, who cares.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Fair enough. Still, the band was kind enough provided links so fans can “follow us to hear more ignorant slam shit.” Fans will get their first chance to see this new project live May 29th at Ground Zero in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Hopefully SLAM BAND will drop more music in the coming days.<\/p>\n As for FILTH, they have a ton of shows coming up. The band will play Bring The Heat Fest<\/strong> on Saturday, May 29th, before embarking on their co-headlining Boybands and Breakdowns Tour<\/strong> with crunkcore pioneers brokeNCYDE<\/strong>. Special guests will include Opal In Sky<\/strong>, From This Day Forward<\/strong>, Enthronement<\/strong>, and ONI INC<\/strong>. In July, FILTH will hit up INKcarceration<\/strong> before making their way down under for their first-ever Australian tour. The trek will include support from Kanine<\/strong>, LIAR<\/strong>, and iocaste<\/strong>.
