Former Who’s the Boss?<\/em> star Danny Pintauro<\/a>, 50, has been making headlines after revealing he had been working as an Amazon Flex delivery driver while waiting for acting opportunities to come his way. He\u2019s been calm and confident as he spreads the word that this is not uncommon for former child stars and that there is no shame in working hard. He sat down for a Zoom interview with Entertainment Tonight<\/em> host Kevin Frazier to discuss the viral story and, in his own words, “the larger reality behind it all.”<\/p>\n What Danny Pintauro didn’t know was that Judith Light, who played his devoted mom Angela Bower on the classic ABC sitcom Who\u2019s The Boss?<\/em>, happened to be at the Entertainment Tonight<\/em> studio for her own interview at nearly the same time. The show’s team brought her into Pintauro’s segment, turning a candid conversation about career struggles into an unexpected on-screen reunion. How much the two delighted in seeing one another warmed my heart, so I can just imagine how they felt.<\/p>\n Pintauro shared the moment on his Instagram page, @dannypintauro<\/a>, afterward, writing that hearing Light say “my boy” and “feeling that kind of love come through the screen in the middle of a very real conversation about life and work just hit me right in the heart.” He called it “by far the best part of the interview” and closed with a message to his former TV mom: “Judith, I adore you more than I can say.”<\/p>\n It sure seems like the feeling is mutual, too. Judith Light has repeatedly waxed poetic about her TV son. After Pintauro came out and spoke publicly about his HIV status, Entertainment Tonight<\/a> reported that Judith Light expressed her affection for him and said how proud she was of him.<\/p>\n Judith Light and Danny Pintauro played mother and son for all eight seasons of Who’s the Boss?<\/em>, which ran on ABC from 1984 to 1992. It heavily influenced a generation who grew up watching the show which was ahead of its time. It drew more than 30 million viewers at its peak. Pintauro thanked both ET and Frazier directly, writing, “Thank you, Entertainment Tonight and Kevin Frazier, for making that happen.”<\/p>\n Sometimes TV families turn out to be the real thing. That was clear a decade ago, too, when the entire cast reunited got Entertainment Weekly<\/a> a few years before the death of Katherine Helmond.<\/p>\n I know I and many others would love to see Light and Pintauro act together again, too.
