Happy birthday to the United States and Tennessee, turning 250 and 230, respectively. Celebrate the milestones with live outdoor music at three local landmarks.<\/p>\n

Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery<\/strong>\u00a0kicks off the state\u2019s birthday weekend with\u00a0Summer Fest 2026<\/strong>, on Sunday, May 31, a day of history, music, wine, bourbon cocktails, and family-friendly activities. Admission $15, kids under 12 free.<\/p>\n

On Friday, June 12,\u00a0Music on the Lawn<\/strong>\u00a0transforms the grounds into an al fresco concert hall, showcasing three live bands. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. General admission is $55, plus $7 chair rental; VIP seating is $125, including dedicated bar and soft seating.<\/p>\n

Cheekwood Estate & Gardens,\u00a0<\/strong>home of the popular Thursday Night Out summer concerts, reprises\u00a0Cheekwood Community Celebration: Arts and Music in America<\/strong>, with four days of live performances, American art and family-friendly activity,\u00a0June 4-7. Programming includes music inspired by Tennessee landmarks and traditions\u2014from Memphis and Nashville to the Great Smoky Mountains.<\/p>\n

Explore art in the mansion, food trucks, specialty cocktails, a passport scavenger hunt, hands-on art activities, and the largest and most elaborate model train exhibition ever presented at Cheekwood, which remains on view through September 6.<\/p>\n

Non-members receive half-price admission to the Community Celebration.<\/p>\n

The Hermitage<\/strong>, Andrew Jackson\u2019s historic home and Presidential site, introduces Roots & Rhythms. The three-event concert series on the rear lawn of the mansion features evenings of bluegrass, R&B and gospel,\u00a0and country music, along with awards to musicians who have championed\u00a0Tennessee\u2019s musical\u00a0traditions and\u00a0culture. Inaugural honorees include\u00a0Ed\u00a0Snodderly,\u00a0Charles “Wigg” Walker and\u00a0Steve Earle.<\/p>\n

The last three\u00a0Fridays\u00a0of\u00a0June\u00a0(June 12, 19 and 26), Roots & Rhythms events open for entry at 5 p.m., with awards at 6:30\u00a0p.m., and singing of \u201cThe\u00a0Star-Spangled\u00a0Banner.\u201d Up-and-coming acts will perform before the ceremony. At 7\u00a0p.m., headliners will take the main stage. Events are open to all ages.\u00a0General admission is $20\u00a0per concert or\u00a0$55 per series.\u00a0VIP tickets, including a tented lounge, dedicated bar and restrooms, are $50 per concert or $138 per series. Member tickets are $10\u00a0each.\u00a0Children 13 and under are free.\u00a0Food will be available for purchase from Papa Turney\u2019s Barbecue and Andrew & Rachel\u2019s Caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n
