Stephen Colbert flipped the script on Wednesday\u2019s second-to-last episode of \u201cThe Late Show\u201d as a string of celebrities turned his regular \u201cColbert Questionert\u201d segment back on him.<\/p>\n
When it was Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro\u2019s turn to ask Colbert a run-of-the-mill question that the outgoing late-night host usually asks his famous guests, the outspoken Donald Trump critic asked: \u201cWhat number were you thinking of?\u201d<\/p>\n
Colbert offered a long-winded response:<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a hint as to what the answer is, because whenever somebody answers the question and gives the wrong answer, I always say no; and when I give the right answer, which has happened at least twice \u2014 Meryl Streep and Ethan Hawke guessed correctly \u2014 and Ethan Hawke goes immediately, \u2018I know what it is. It\u2019s three.\u2019 That\u2019s the number I was thinking of.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cOK,\u201d De Niro deadpanned.<\/p>\n

Then he delivered the punchline: \u201cBecause I thought it would have been two million point five, or two and a half million. That\u2019s the number of Epstein files Trump still hasn\u2019t released.\u201d<\/p>\n
The audience erupted.<\/p>\n
