On Wednesday, Charles visited a community cinema<\/a> in the Northern Ireland seaside resort of Newcastle. He toured the local attraction that has been staging screenings since 2009.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Following his visit, the King went on a walkabout to greet well-wishers who had gathered to see him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As he chatted to the crowds, he was filmed asking them whether they were all from Newcastle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A woman then told him she was from Jordanstown before saying she came to see him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The King pulled a face, prompting laughter from the crowds, before she added: \u201cI did.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

His Majesty then said cheekily, \u201cYou must have come here to do your shopping,\u201d with the crowd erupting in fits of giggles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Royal fans were quick to spot the sweet encounter, with one user writing on X: \u201cKing Charles loves his little jokes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another one said: \u201cHe has jokes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A third one added: \u201cSo self-effacing. [heart emoji] #KingCharles God save the King.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When the King first arrived, he was given a cinema ticket from the box office to mark his visit, printed with \u201cVIP Guest\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Organisers allow the cinema to be used for a range of events alongside movie screenings: from stand-up comedy to performances by community groups and martial arts activities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They even hold KnitFlix nights where the audience is encouraged to knit, crochet or get crafting while watching a movie.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
