Jimmy Kimmel <\/strong>has given Elon Musk<\/a><\/strong> a piece of his mind over his rant about the casting for The Odyssey. Kimmel told the Tesla CEO to \u201cstay\u201d in his lane after he opposed Lupita Nyong\u2019o<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s casting in Nolan\u2019s upcoming film. The Oscar-winning actress is playing Helen of Troy, which Musk believes should be played by a white woman.<\/p>\n

Chat show host Jimmy Kimmel thinks Elon Musk needs to \u201cstay in his lane\u201d regarding Odyssey casting<\/h2>\n

The rant started with conservative commentator Matt Walsh posting on X. He wrote, Not one person on the planet actually thinks that Lupita Nyong\u2019o is \u2018the most beautiful woman in the world.\u2019 But Christopher Nolan knows that he would be called a racist if he gave \u201cthe most beautiful woman\u201d role to a white woman. Nolan is technically talented but a coward.\u201d To which Musk replied, \u201cTrue.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then went ahead and wrote<\/a>, \u201cChris Nolan desecrated the Odyssey so that he would be eligible for an Academy Award \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel during his\u00a0opening monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/a>, on May 20, narrated, \u201cElon Musk is now attacking Christopher Nolan, the film director, for the way he cast the movie \u2018The Odyssey.\u2019 He\u2019s upset because Christopher Nolan hired Lupita Nyong\u2019o to play a character he believes should be played by a white woman.\u201d Kimmel then slammed the tech billionaire and told, \u201cI\u00a0mean, stay in your lane.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also addressed the backlash by noting that Helen of Troy was a mythical figure. The 58-year-old host said, \u201cHelen of Troy was also not real. The Odyssey is a mythical poem.\u201d He explained Helen was the daughter of Zeus and added, \u201cIt makes no difference to anyone but crazy, angry people what color she was.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last week, Alec Baldwin also\u00a0slammed Musk. The 30 Rock alum wrote on Instagram while sharing a photo of the actress, \u201cDear Elon\u2026 but she IS the most beautiful woman in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
