Katharine McPhee<\/strong><\/a> appears to have no idea what Chrishell Stause<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s beef is.<\/p>\n

TikTok user Jordy Cray<\/strong> posted a video earlier this month claiming that McPhee\u2019s career and personal life was \u201cone of the mcmessiest ones out there,\u201d detailing the American Idol<\/em><\/a> alum\u2019s public romances and scandals.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne day she will find her real inner confidence but it won\u2019t come until after she is disgarded [sic] enough times by the problematic men she backs,\u201d Selling Sunset alum Stause, 44, wrote in the comments section<\/a>. \u201cAn insecure woman will steal your man, and give the worst advice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Several commenters were shocked by Stause\u2019s \u201cmessy\u201d comment, which appeared to come out of left field. One TikTok user wondered, \u201cChrisell [sic] do you know something we don\u2019t know?\u201d<\/p>\n

Others called Stause \u201cjealous,\u201d while some referred to her as a \u201cqueen\u201d for the message.<\/p>\n

McPhee, 42, responded to E! New<\/em>s\u2019 Instagram coverage of the situation<\/a> on Thursday, May 21, when a fan asked what she did to Stause.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly I have no idea,\u201d McPhee wrote in a reply. \u201cI am just as confused about this controversy as you Imao.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cray entered the chat in the comments section, clarifying that \u201cChrishell\u2019s comment was moreso about Katharine endorsing Spencer Pratt<\/strong> for [Los Angeles] Mayor.\u201d (McPhee has previously received backlash for donating to Republican Party candidates.)<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, other social media users speculated that Stause\u2019s comment was in response to Cray focusing on McPhee\u2019s relationship history in his TikTok, stemming from her American Idol<\/em> days. After the singer appeared on the show\u2019s fifth season in 2006, she took her relationship with Nick Cokas<\/strong> public. They wed in 2008. By 2016, their divorce was finalized. (McPhee was photographed kissing Smash<\/em><\/a> director Michael Morris<\/strong> in 2013. Us<\/em> confirmed at the time<\/a> that she and Cokas were already separated.)<\/p>\n

McPhee moved on with longtime friend<\/a> David Foster<\/strong> in 2017. They got engaged the following year.<\/p>\n

\u201cY\u2019all should be worrying more about registering to vote and midterms elections than who\u2019s marrying me,\u201d she shared via X in July 2018, calling out critics of their relationship. \u201cThank you for coming to my TED talk.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple wed in June 2019, and share a son born in February 2021.<\/p>\n

Throughout their marriage, McPhee and Foster, 76, have navigated several comments about their age gap<\/a>. (Foster is 35 years McPhee\u2019s senior.)<\/p>\n
