Hocus Pocus<\/a><\/em> star Thora Birch<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 who played the red-headed little sister, Dani, in the beloved 1993 film \u2014 recently came out as bisexual eight years after marrying a man.<\/p>\n On Wednesday, May 20, the former child actor, now 44, attended the 35th anniversary celebration of the popular gay bar The Abbey in West Hollywood.<\/p>\n \u201cAs a hometown girl, I\u2019m always here to show my support for the community, which shaped so much of who I am and my identity as well, being a bi person,\u201d she exclusively revealed to Us Weekly<\/a>.<\/p>\n Birch added, \u201cI don\u2019t want to get too political, but find your community where you can, and stand with them, and stick with them, and share that love that you share together, and reach it toward others. That\u2019s the only way we\u2019re going to get through all this madness is just embracing one another. We have to stop fighting.\u201d<\/p>\n In 2018, Birch married producer and talent manager Michael Benton Adler.<\/p>\n Aside from coming out as bisexual, Birch opened up about reprising some of her iconic roles in \u201990s films, like Hocus Pocus<\/em>, Now and Then<\/a>,<\/em> American Beauty<\/a><\/em>, Monkey Trouble<\/em>, and more.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like all of us would love that,\u201d Birch said of revisiting her role as Teeny in 1995\u2019s Now and Then<\/em>. \u201cI have no idea what that would look like, but it\u2019s a shared dream for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n The actress continued, \u201cI feel like so many of my fans kind of wonder about, obviously, Dani [from] Hocus Pocus<\/em>. I feel like Teeny, we know what happened with her, so that\u2019s good, but it would be intriguing to see some of the other old standbys, like Enid from Ghost World<\/a><\/em>. Who knows what she\u2019s up to? She\u2019s alive, probably. I think there\u2019s also something nice about having them encapsulated.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to Birch, Hocus Pocus<\/em> starred Omri Katz<\/a> as Max, Vinessa Shaw<\/a> as Allison, Bette Midler<\/a> as Winifred Sanderson, Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a> as Sarah Sanderson, Kathy Najimy<\/a> as Mary Sanderson, Sean Murray<\/a> as the human form of Binx, Jason Marsden<\/a> as the voice of Binx, and more. Hocus Pocus 2<\/a><\/em> premiered in 2022, although the original child actors did not return for the film.<\/p>\n
