Marry Healy<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s mom, Denise Welch<\/strong>, revealed when the singer and fianc\u00e9e Gabbriette Bechtel<\/strong><\/a> are set to tie the knot.<\/p>\n

\u201cMatty lives in Los Angeles, the boys aren\u2019t in each other\u2019s pockets but they\u2019re there for each other,\u201d Welch, 68, shared during a \u201cTom\u2019s Hirschsprung\u2019s Podcast\u201d<\/a> appearance on Thursday, May 21. \u201cMatty gets married in July, which we\u2019re very excited about.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI\u2019m very excited about that, that\u2019s wonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Healy, The 1975 frontman, moved on with Bechtel, 28, in September 2023<\/a>, following his split from Taylor Swift<\/strong>. Bechtel confirmed their engagement in June 2024 by showing off her ring on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Welch, meanwhile, spoke candidly about the proposal during U.K\u2019s Loose Women<\/em> after Healy and Bechtel went public with the news.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMatty Healy proposed to his girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel with a decidedly unique diamond engagement ring. The 35-year-old singer\u2019s mother, actress Denise Welch, confirmed that the pair got engaged on a Wednesday, June 12, episode of her show Loose Women. Welch, 66, revealed that Healy proposed to Bechtel, 26, with a black diamond ring, which he [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Welch added, \u201cI couldn\u2019t be more thrilled. She\u2019s from Los Angeles, she\u2019s absolutely gorgeous. She is everything that I would want in a daughter-in-law, and so I\u2019m thrilled.\u201d<\/p>\n

The following month Bechtel teased her future with Healy, revealing that she\u2019s already started thinking about motherhood.<\/a><\/p>\n

During the same interview, Bechtel received a phone call from Healy. She briefly discussed their relationship after hanging up.<\/p>\n

Two years later, Bechtel teamed up with Jimmy Choo for a bridal campaign<\/a> and shared her secrets to a successful engagement.<\/p>\n

\u201cAct like you\u2019re surprised, even if you know the proposal\u2019s coming,\u201d she said in a video for the brand, released this past February. \u201cYour ring should bling. And if it doesn\u2019t \u2014 upgrade.\u201d<\/p>\n
