The twitchy, idiosyncratic Detroit rap weirdo Veeze became a cult hero on the strength of his debut album Ganger<\/a><\/em>, which Stereogum correspondent Peter A. Berry picked as 2023’s best rap album<\/a>. Since then, Veeze has released a steady string of one-off singles like “Signed A Napkin<\/a>,” “L.O.A.T.<\/a>,” and the Lil Yachty collab “Can’t Be Crete Boy<\/a>.” But that’s not enough for some people, so Veeze had to go ahead and drop a surprise mixtape today.<\/p>\n Veeze’s new mixtape Y’all Won<\/em> is his first album-length work since Ganger<\/em>, but he wants to make it clear that it’s not the follow-up to Ganger<\/em>. Veeze is still working on Worst Tape<\/em>, which is what he’s calling his sophomore album. But since fans won’t stop bugging him to release new music, he’s shared Y’all Won<\/em>, an 11-song mixtape with no guests. <\/p>\n The rushed, unfinished quality of Veeze’s music is what a lot of people like about it, so I don’t think anyone will be mad at how off-the-cuff and casual he sounds on Y’all Won<\/em>. In addition to the tape, he’s got a video for the mixtape track “Wrong Place, Wrong Time,” with cameos from his friends Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, Rylo Rodriguez, Lil Yachty, and Chuckyy.
