Bethenny Frankel <\/b><\/a>is offering rare insight into her coparenting dynamic with her ex-husband Jason Hoppy<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to be in a successful relationship for myself and my daughter because we\u2019re rolling very light and it comes up during holidays,\u201d Frankel, 55, claimed on the Tuesday, May 19, episode of the \u201cAspire\u201d podcast<\/span><\/a>. \u201cIt comes up just in different ways with our unit.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cThere are a lot of personal things going on within her family dynamic, let\u2019s just say, that have made it that I want her to be more part of a community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Frankel and Hoppy, 54, were married from 2010 to 2012, during which period they welcomed their now-16-year-old daughter Bryn. Amid their contentious divorce, Frankel and Hoppy battled in court<\/span><\/a> over custody of Bryn.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy haven\u2019t been on the best of terms since their lengthy divorce and custody battle. Frankel and Hoppy, both 54, tied the knot in 2010 and welcomed daughter Bryn that same year. Two years later, Frankel and Hoppy separated. The Real Housewives of New York City alum filed for divorce in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A judge ultimately ruled in 2021 that Frankel was no longer required to pay<\/span><\/a> Hoppy child support since Bryn primarily resides with her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m removing myself of this fight for Bryn and my physical, emotional and mental health,\u201d Hoppy said in a court hearing at the time. \u201cI will not spend the remainder of Bryn\u2019s childhood fighting as we share joint physical custody. Bryn knows I love her, I want her and I will always be available for our time together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Frankel and Bryn eventually relocated to Florida<\/span><\/a> in 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were down in Florida and something very personal transpired,\u201d Frankel said on her \u201cJust B\u201d podcast<\/span><\/a> in May 2025, sharing the reason for the mother-daughter pair\u2019s move to the Sunshine State. \u201cI don\u2019t want to get into all the details of this now, but something happened, and my daughter, who had said years ago, \u2018I want to move to Florida,\u2019 she cried to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Frankel initially dismissed Bryn\u2019s request, the Skinnygirl founder soon realized how desperate her daughter seemed to be for a fresh start.<\/p>\n
