Online<\/a><\/p>\n Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a> is royally over this sentiment. <\/span><\/p>\n Six years after the Duke of Sussex and his wife <\/span>Meghan Markle<\/strong> stepped back from their duties in the royal family and relocated to California, he addressed critics who say he\u2019s no longer part of the legacy. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI will always be part of the royal family,\u201d Harry asserted in an April 24 interview with ITV News<\/a> during a visit to Ukraine. \u201cI\u2019m here working and doing the very thing that I was born to do and I enjoy doing it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n As he put it, \u201cI enjoy being able to do these trips and come and support the people I\u2019ve met before.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Indeed, the 41-year-old\u2014dad to <\/span>Prince Archie<\/strong>, 6, and <\/span>Princess Lilibet<\/strong>, 4, with Meghan\u2014noted he was \u201cgrateful\u201d to still have the platform that comes with his royal status to highlight issues like support to those affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine. <\/span><\/p>\n But while Harry and wife Meghan stepped back from their duties in 2020 following ongoing tabloid scrutiny, he reiterated in 2021 that the couple never planned to entirely cut ties. <\/span><\/p>\n More from E!
