Lizzo <\/b><\/a>is clearing the air and addressing the viral rumors that she dissed fellow musician Taylor Swift<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Life Of A Showgirl <\/i>+ MY FACE HURTS FROM SMILING <\/i>\u2014 4.005M \ud83d\udc51<\/span>,\u201d an X user wrote on Friday, May 22, alongside footage from Lizzo\u2019s \u201cSTFU\u201d music video. \u201cICEMAN + MAID OF HONOUR + HABIBTI \u2014 683k \u26b0\ufe0f\u26b0\ufe0f\u26b0\ufe0f\u26b0\ufe0f<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lizzo, 38, replied to the tweet, asking, \u201cCan someone explain what this means?\u201d<\/p>\n

A fan subsequently claimed that \u201call that s***-talking\u201d Lizzo allegedly did about Swift, 36, \u201cfinally caught up\u201d to her and impacted her My Face Hurts From Smiling<\/i> record\u2019s chart position.<\/p>\n

In 2017 and 2019, the singer was accused of plagiarism by British singer Mina Lioness and producer Justin Raisen over her 2017 single \u201cTruth Hurts.\u201d The drama surrounded one of the song\u2019s opening lines \u2014 \u201cI just took a DNA [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lizzo clapped back at the implication.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you well? First of all I have never talked s*** about Taylor Swift,\u201d Lizzo tweeted<\/span><\/a> on Saturday, May 23. \u201cAlso while we [are] on the subject I\u2019ve never talked s*** about any artist. Just because I mention an artist by name does not mean I\u2019m talking s*** \u2014 grow tf up pls.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lizzo has long been inspired by Swift, even finding a slew of similarities with the pop superstar.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m Black Taylor Swift,\u201d she quipped during a 2022 appearance on The Breakfast Club<\/i><\/span><\/a> <\/i>radio show, joking about how the two singers often pull from their personal lives in various songs. \u201cI really am, I\u2019m trifling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both Lizzo and Swift are known for writing about their respective love lives<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t talk too badly about [an ex\u2019s] character, it\u2019s just what he do,\u201d Lizzo explained at the time. \u201cI\u2019ll be like, \u2018He\u2019s a good person, but this is what he did.
