Stewart McLean<\/b><\/a><\/span>\u2019s friend and fellow actor, Jeff Seymour<\/b>, had a feeling something was wrong after the Virgin River <\/i>alum went missing.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was meticulous about everything and there would be no chance he blew it off or slept too late,\u201d Seymour told the Canadian Press<\/i><\/span><\/a> <\/i>on Friday, May 22. \u201cAs soon as I heard he didn\u2019t make it on Saturday morning, I knew there was big trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n

McLean was reported missing<\/span><\/a> earlier this month after he was last seen on May 15 at his home in Lions Bay, British Columbia, Canada. The actor was found dead after his remains were recovered one week later by local police<\/span><\/a> on Friday. He was 45.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was really a wonderful week, and then I heard this, and it\u2019s just, it\u2019s so hard to comprehend when something like this happens,\u201d Seymour told the outlet. \u201cIt just doesn\u2019t make any sense. He was incredibly situationally aware.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Seymour, he became \u201cfast friends\u201d with McLean eight years ago when the then-aspiring actor attended his coaching session.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how anybody could get the drop on Stew,\u201d Seymour said of McLean\u2019s disappearance, suspecting foul play. \u201cIt\u2019s so crushing, and it hits me in ways I\u2019ll suddenly think, ah, Stu, and I realize I can\u2019t call him now.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cEverybody loved this guy, it wasn\u2019t like he was in nefarious activities or, you know, kind of ran with another crowd. I mean, he was a bit of a loner. He spent a lot of time reading and being at his home out there in Squamish.\u201d<\/p>\n

A homicide investigation into McLean\u2019s death is ongoing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just a shocker,\u201d Seymour stated. \u201cI would love to see justice served.\u201d<\/p>\n

McLean\u2019s talent agent, Jodi Caplan<\/b>, confirmed her client\u2019s death<\/a> hours earlier on Friday.<\/p>\n
