BTS turned the city of Las Vegas red as it began its latest citywide project as part of its \u201cArirang\u201d world tour.

Dubbed \u201cBTS The City Arirang – Las Vegas,\u201d the event began on
\n Wednesday and turned major tourist spots red, the theme color of the band\u2019s fifth and latest full-length album \u201cArirang.\u201d The event also coincides with the band\u2019s concerts in the city held over the weekend, as well as additional shows scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.

The event marks the launch of the \u201cGlobal The City 2.0″ project. The band previously rolled out the project across
\n major cities, offering a range of events in tandem with its performances in those locations.\u00a0

\u201cThe City\u201d project first began when BTS staged its \u201cPermission to Dance on Stage\u201d tour in Las Vegas in 2022.

At the time, major landmarks across the city were illuminated in purple, the signature color associated with BTS\u2019s global fan base ARMY, and BTS-themed events \u2014 such as drone light displays, photo exhibitions and multimedia installations took place throughout the city.

The Sphere was also part of this year\u2019s project, showcasing silhouettes of the BTS members, the logo of its latest album and messages such as \u201cWhat Is Your Love Song?\u201d Traditional Korean lanterns were strung along the venue\u2019s exterior.

Landmarks across the Las Vegas Strip \u2014 including the High Roller, the Eiffel Tower replica at Paris Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Arches \u2014 were lit up in red, and around 30 digital billboards across the city displayed welcome messages to the band.

A six-minute fireworks show was held to the songs \u201cNormal\u201d and \u201cHooligan,\u201d B-side tracks from \u201cArirang.\u201d

A stamp tour also took place. During a stamp tour, fans receive a stamp for each location that they visit on the tour, and a certain number of stamps usually lead to rewards. As part of the event, fans rode the city\u2019s monorail, which was painted red and featured the key message, \u201cWhat Is Your ‘Arirang\u2019?\u201d

Additionally, culinary tours created in collaboration with various food and beverage brands will continue across Las Vegas through early June, according to BTS\u2019s agency BigHit Music.

Over 60,000 fans flocked to the venue on the first day of the Las Vegas leg, BigHit Music said.
