Millennials are sighing as Hilary Duff<\/a> revealed her shock that an entire studio audience didn’t recognize the name of her celebrity crush, Jonathan Taylor Thomas<\/a>, affectionately known as “JTT.”<\/p>\n \u201cDo you remember JTT?\u201d the Lizzie McGuire<\/em><\/a> star, 38, asked a fan who inquired about her childhood crush<\/a> on The Jennifer Hudson Show<\/em><\/a> episode that aired Wednesday, May 20.<\/p>\n The fan responded, “I don’t know who that is.”<\/p>\n Hilary Duff was surprised that the audience had no recollection of Jonathan Taylor Thomas.MEGA<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n \u201cLook, you\u2019re too young, you\u2019re too young,\u201d she said, then asked the crowd, \u201cPlease raise your hand if you know who I\u2019m talking about.\u201d<\/p>\n Shocked, Duff said, “It\u2019s not even half.”<\/p>\n She schooled the audience.<\/p>\n “OK guys, he was on Home Improvement<\/em><\/a>,” she said. “Cute Jonathan Taylor Thomas. He was also in The Lion King<\/em>. He was a kid. He was the voice of Simba<\/strong>, right?”<\/p>\n Duff also called out pop rock band Hanson’s “little one,” Zac Hanson<\/a>, as another celebrity crush.<\/p>\n ‘Home Improvement’ star Jonathan Taylor Thomas was a major teen idol in the 1990s.MEGA<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n The former teen idol, now 44, adorned many a fans’ walls when he appeared alongside his TV brothers played by Taran Noah Smith<\/strong> and Zachery Ty Bryan<\/strong> and their TV parents Tim Allen<\/a> and Patricia Richardson<\/strong> on the family sitcom that aired from 1991-1999 on ABC.<\/p>\n After Home Improvement <\/em>wrapped, Thomas went to college, attending Harvard, Columbia and St. Andrew’s University in Scotland.<\/p>\n He studied history and philosophy, graduating from Columbia in 2010.<\/p>\n \u201cI’d been going nonstop since I was 8 years old,” he told People<\/em> in a 2013 interview. “I wanted to go to school, to travel and have a bit of a break.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, “I never took the fame too seriously. It was a great period in my life, but it doesn\u2019t define me.\u201d<\/p>\n He attended college at Harvard, Columbia and St. Andrew’s University.MEGA<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n The last time Thomas emerged publicly was in December 2023, when he was spotted for the first time in two years at a convenience store<\/a> in Southern California.<\/p>\n Before that, he was snapped walking his dogs<\/a> in L.A. in July 2021.<\/p>\n And before that, he hadn’t been seen in public in eight years.<\/p>\n Hilary Duff shares three daughters with her husband, Matthew Koma, and co-parents her son with ex Mike Comrie.MEGA<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n Although Duff still may dream of Thomas, she\u2019s been happily married to Matthew Koma<\/a>, 38, since 2019. The exes were married to from 2010-2016.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s this thing we do on the weekends that makes the kids crazy, where we just start singing, \u2018it\u2019s the mandatory family walk, mandatory family walk, mandatory family walk,\u2019\u201d Duff said on The Jennifer Hudson Show<\/em>. \u201cAnd everybody has to get their shoes on and get a leash and take a dog and go on a walk with us. It\u2019s so cute, but the kids never want to do it. They\u2019re, like, hiding, but then we always have amazing chats and family time.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cTownes is the baby, so she always collects leaves and rocks and sticks them in her shirt.
