Derrick Flowers has it. Born and raised in Coffee County and a graduate of Coffee High School, Flowers grew up on classic country music. Early on, he developed a profound love and appreciation for its honesty and narrative-focused lyrics. When his own talent began developing, he knew that country music was the platform upon which he would build his career.<\/p>\n

Flowers has built a following the old-fashioned way \u2013 through playing, touring, and building a fan base one show at the time. It doesn\u2019t matter if it\u2019s a big venue with an audience of thousands or a small acoustic show in small club or rural concert hall \u2013 give him a stage, a microphone, and a guitar and he will put on a show you\u2019ll never forget.<\/p>\n

He has released several singles with his best performing being \u201cSlow Down,\u201d which has nearly 400,000 streams on Spotify. Among all streaming platforms, Flowers has over 1 million streams. He was also nominated for the Georgia Country Awards Male Artist of the Year for 2025.<\/p>\n

The music video for his latest single, \u201cSlow Down,\u201d which was directed by Douglas native and Coffee High graduate Jay Hennesy, was released on YouTube just a few days ago on May 22. Already it is generating a buzz and further expanding Flowers\u2019s fanbase.<\/p>\n

The path that Flowers has chosen is not an easy one. But he has embraced the challenges and met them head-on. If you\u2019re a country music fan, remember the name Derrick Flowers. You\u2019re going to be hearing it quite a bit in the very near future.<\/p>\n
