Darin Brooks<\/a> is officially returning to The Bold and the Beautiful<\/a><\/em> two and a half years after exiting the soap opera<\/a> \u2014 and he teased that he\u2019s also bringing a special guest.<\/p>\n During an interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/a> published on May 25, Brooks, who played Wyatt Spencer from 2013 to early 2024, announced his return while hinting at what\u2019s to come.<\/p>\n \u201cI spoke to [executive producer and head writer] Brad Bell, and Brad was like, \u2018Yeah, let\u2019s see if we can figure something out,’\u201d he recalled. \u201cHe\u2019s like, \u2018We miss your comedy around here.’\u201d<\/p>\n When Wyatt exited the Bold and the Beautiful<\/em> storyline, writers \u201ckind of just sent me off with the girlfriend and my sort of family, my other side of the family took off,\u201d he explained. \u201cBut it\u2019s always nice because in soaps, you can kind of do whatever. I know Days of Our Lives<\/a><\/em>, there\u2019s been characters killed off about 17 times and brought back to life.\u201d<\/p>\n To bring back his character, Brooks had conversations with Bell about questions that needed answering for viewers.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve talked to Brad to say, \u2018Hey, where do these pieces fit in? What happened to his girlfriend? Where is he coming from? What kind of state is he in?’\u201d he told EW. \u201cIs he coming back a single guy? Is he trying to figure his life out? Is he sad that he didn\u2019t get to talk to his family for a long time? We got to hash out some of those details.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Evidently, Wyatt returns to soap after his dad [Don Diamont<\/a>] \u201cforces him to come back to town.\u201d Brooks shared, \u201cThen we realize why he\u2019s here and what he has going on in relation to the girlfriend, to Flo [Katrina Bowden<\/a>], and to someone who is a part of his life, who also comes back with him.\u201d<\/p>\n That\u2019s when Brooks revealed, \u201cI think you\u2019ll see when we air as well, on the second day.
