Katseye<\/a> delivered a fever dream performance of \u201cPinky Up<\/a>\u201d at the American Music Awards<\/a> in Las Vegas on Monday evening.<\/p>\n The superstar group rolled up on the awards show stage via a massive pink teddy bear outfitted with with giant speakers for paws. In a setting that brought their music video for the hit single to the AMAs, Katseye interrupted a curious tea party to sing their high-energy track amid a cascade of color and floating stuffed animals.<\/p>\n Katseye scored three nominations at this year\u2019s show, including New Artist of the Year and Breakthrough Pop Artist. The group also appeared in the Best Music Video category with \u201cGnarly,\u201d which is up against releases from Rosal\u00eda, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, and Tyla.<\/p>\n The AMAs mark the first awards show appearance from Katseye since the 2026 Grammy Awards, when they performed \u201cGnarly\u201d as part of the Best New Artist nominee medley<\/a>. While that was only a few months ago, a lot has changed for the group since then. In February, Hybe and Geffen Records announced that Manon Bannerman, one-sixth of the group, would be taking a temporary hiatus<\/a>.<\/p>\n Their AMAs performance is their first televised appearance as a five-piece, while \u201cPinky Up\u201d marked the group\u2019s first musical release without Bannerman. The single arrived just in time for Katseye\u2019s Coachella debut<\/a> in April. \u201cCoachella has been our number one dream since we became a group,\u201d Lara Raj said at the festival. \u201cI\u2019m so happy you guys get to witness that.\u201d<\/p>\n In August, Katseye will release their EP Wild<\/em>. Shortly after, the girl group will kick off the Wildworld Tour.<\/a> The run of live shows will begin in Europe before heading stateside in October.<\/p>\n \u201cI think the fans can really expect to see us explore more areas of our identity when it comes to the things that people have said, whether it\u2019s good or bad,\u201d Sophia Laforteza recently told Nylon<\/a> <\/em>about what the next era of Katseye will hold. \u201cYou can see us touching on that and clapping back at it.
