Pawel Pawlikowski<\/a> and Ruben \u00d6stlund<\/a> will be among the creatives featured at the Slano\u00a0Film Days in Croatia next month.<\/p>\n Polish Oscar winner Pawlikowski (Ida<\/em>) will arrive at\u00a0the event with his new film Fatherland<\/em><\/a>, starring Sandra H\u00fcller<\/a>, which just won the best director award<\/a> at the Cannes Film Festival<\/a>, where it had its world premiere. The film will have its Croatian premiere at the Villa Riva\u00a0Open-Air\u00a0Cinema\u00a0in\u00a0Slano.<\/p>\n More from The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n THR<\/em>\u2018s review called Fatherland<\/em> \u201ca masterful exploration of family, history and angst,\u201d lauding it for being \u201cimmaculately performed by Hanns Zischler and especially Sandra H\u00fcller, grounding the film throughout with an uncanny, expressive stillness.\u201d<\/p>\n Pawlikowski will also take part in a Film Talks session with participants of\u00a0Slano\u00a0Film Days, where he will speak about his new film in a conversation moderated by \u00d6stlund.\u00a0As part of the\u00a0Slano\u00a0Film Days program, another film by Pawlikowski will be shown, namely Cold War<\/em>, with star\u00a0Joanna Kulig also attending the event and participating in a film talk.\u00a0<\/p>\n Meanwhile, \u00d6stlund will present a selection of his short films in\u00a0Slano, including Autobiographical Scene Number 6882<\/em>, which follows a group of friends as they observe an attempted jump from a bridge into the water, and Incident by a Bank<\/em>, a humorous reconstruction of a failed bank robbery inspired by a real-life event from 2006.<\/p>\n During a Film Talks session, \u00d6stlund will discuss his creative process and his new project, The Entertainment System Is Down<\/a><\/em>, which he has written and directed, starring Keanu Reeves, Kirsten Dunst, and Daniel Br\u00fchl. The film is currently in\u00a0post-production.<\/p>\n The two-time Swedish Palme d\u2019Or winner (The Square<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0Triangle of Sadness<\/a><\/em>) told\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>\u00a0at Cannes that he does not expect the film to be done before the end of the year.
