It can occur due to ageing, but can also affect younger people, according to Vision Australia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cI was half blind for 10 years,\u201d she told The New York Times\u2019 podcast called Popcast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cIt impacted my vision so much that I was basically legally blind out of my left eye, and I wound up getting surgery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cAnd I didn\u2019t realise how bad it had gotten until I could finally see the full spectrum.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cI\u2019ve calmed down since then.
